De-stubbing the article

[edit]

I could easily expand on this article, as one of the original authors of the specs. I'm fairly certain it would be NPOV, but if there is someone else to do it, it might be better. jax 17:15, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free. I made the stub when I was looking at it. I discovered that I couldn't do free-text with it, so I moved on to a different project and haven't looked further into XHTML+Voice. -- kainaw 17:45, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you mean that the speech recognition is grammar-based, yes that can cause problems for many applications. I'll make an update later, probably including more links to the W3C Multimodal Interaction activity, if I feel diligent. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jax-wp (talkcontribs) 05:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Little Additions

[edit]

As far as I know the MIME type is currently application/xv+xml and the old recomendation was pulled. Opera hasn't updated support for the new MIME type yet, but then again, they don't seem terribly up to date with the spec anyways as they only have the old 1.0 DOCTYPE listed on their website... which brings me to the reason I'm posting here...

If I was to add sections for versions of XHTML+Voice and "Valid Documents" with the DOCTYPES and stuff sorta like the XHTML article, should I include the XHTML+Voice 1.1 and 1.2 Profile stuff? It doesn't look like anything supports them yet even though they appear to be valid specs... 71.120.201.39 (talk) 14:08, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
