What does the name X(3872) mean? RJFJR (talk) 22:41, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

From the article, X is some property descriptor shorthand (potentially X in reference to the unknown nature of the particle), and 3872 appears to be the ceilinged mass/energy of the particle, @ 3871.2 MeV.
