An IP has been repeatedly changing the lead sentence from "Based on the memoir ..." to various ungrammatical forms such as "Inspirated on the memoir ...", "Inspired on the memoir ...", Inspired from a memoir ..." or removing the phrase entirely. Each edit has an edit summary claiming that "[t]here is no a source says the work is a film adaptation of the inspiration book" or similar wording. I don't know why this matters so much, since "based on" and "inspired by" have very similar meanings, but the claim that there is no source that uses the "based on" or "adaptation" phrasing is clearly false:
1. Variety says "Based on the memoir of Kenneth Feinberg, ..."[1]
2. Deadline says "The Black List script from Max Borenstein is based on Kenneth Feinberg’s acclaimed memoir."[2]
3. Associated Press says "The movie is based on Feinberg’s own thoughtful account of his experience, his 2005 book ..."[3]
4. The Atlantic says "Sara Colangelo’s film, an adaptation of the real-life Feinberg’s memoir, ..."[4]
5. The Chicago Sun-Times says "“Worth” is based on the true story of the attorney who volunteered for the job nobody else wanted ..."[5]CodeTalker (talk) 06:37, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
