Multiple Articles

[edit]

I think it is time that we build seperate articles for the seaons. Eventually there will be 3 or 4 seasons on here and for a wikipedia article, I think it will become to long and confusing. Since I am not very nolagable in creating new articles and making them up to Wikipedia's standards I would like some help from more seasoned editors, thankyou for your time. Whoever is reading this.Worstcook (talk) 03:48, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are standards for how much content there has to be before you split an article. This article isn't nearly long enough, and the individual articles that would result from a split would be very short. There's no justification for a split. Drmargi (talk) 13:29, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Unless there is something major to really set a season apart from other seasons then I don't see a need for seperate articles for the seasons. Having a link at the top of the page to go directly to a specific season makes more sense as it allows people to go straight to a specific season without having to go to a seperate article. But there's nothing different enough about the seasons to warrant a seperate article for that season. The premise remains exactly the same, a pair of chefs mentor two group of terrible cooks in competition against each other, teaching them the skills to become better cooks. Each week the worst cook on each team is eliminated until the get down to the two best cooks who then compete head to head to see who has seemingly improved the most. Not only do they win but they also award a win to their mentor. Nothing different enough about that to warrant a seperate article. Some like a major controversy would be more likely to warrant a seperate article. Controversy could be placed in the article without requireing a seperate article because it could be easily covered in a paragraph or two, but a major controversy would be one that would have to be broken down into sections explaining what happened, what brought on the controversy, the effects it had, the results, and possibly even the aftermath. That could possibly be even longer than the article stands now, and certainly longer than the sections on the individual seasons. - annonymous 1/22/2012 10:42 PM EST — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.71.212.48 (talk) 03:42, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification needed

[edit]

I'm not sure how best to do this, but it needs to be clarified why there are two columns under a lot of the episodes, as the keys beneath the tables really don't do this. Samer (talk) 22:38, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Season 18 is the current season, which has started airing - with Alton Brown replacing Tyler Florence and Bobby Flay. - (101.98.104.241 (talk) 11:12, 21 December 2019 (UTC))[reply]
