Meaningless lede section?
[edit]Is the lede section based on some template?
- Numerous world records and Olympic records were set in various events at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
I see no source for this, and the only sources I do see about the number of records say that it is low.[1] The lede is the same for similar articles about other recent Summer Olympics, seemingly copied over without checking if it's actually true? One might argue that it could become true, but we're not writing articles about future events in past tense. Renerpho (talk) 10:55, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, just saw this but yes I noticed this page didn't exist so I just copy-pasted the 2020 version to start to quickly get something out there. At this point, numerous world and Olympic records have been set so I think we are in the clear now. Aurangzebra (talk) 14:00, 22 August 2024 (UTC)
