[edit]NPOV dispute This article is very western-centric in tone. It reads like it is out of the Cold War. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sand nomad (talk • contribs) 18:22, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
Merge proposal
[edit]Following Bellerophon5685's tagging, it is clear that both this article and World Congress of Intellectuals for Peace refers to the same conference, but the main issue is therefore: Which is the "real" name?
- The Pathé reference names it "World Congress of Intellectuals in Defense of Peace"
- The Canadian Peace Congress names it "World Congress of Intellectuals for Peace"
- The TIME article is paywalled.
- The [dead link ] WPC site (archived version) names it "World Congress of Intellectuals for Peace".
This, however, is only a cursory investigation; I do not have access to the books cited at either of the merged articles, nor the two cited in the respective section of the World Peace Council article, so cannot say what they state. Given that the WPC and affiliate CPC sites use "World Congress of Intellectuals for Peace", I'm now leaning more towards that, but does anyone else have any input? — Sasuke Sarutobi (talk) 12:33, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
B-class
[edit]Following Hamish59's re-tagging now that an infobox is present, I've uprated the article to B-class in applicable projects (as the WP Military History checklist is complete). I still have concerns about how NPOV the article is, but they would not preclude a B-class rating (only GA-class and above). — Sasuke Sarutobi (talk) 14:37, 22 October 2015 (UTC)
