Did You Know...

[edit]

...that the crest for the World Association of Ugly People features a reclining man smoking a pipe with the slogan: "Ugliness is a virtue, beauty is slavery"?

Ugliness

[edit]

When I searched Wikipedia for ugliness it sent to an article on beauty. Strange that. What gives? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.41.133.159 (talk) 17:59, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This article explains it. At the extremes of ugly, you will find beauty. Clerks. (talk) 14:17, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So it has nothing to do with mass discrimination against an unprotected group of society? Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.94.239.134(talk) 04:15, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Members

I know the reference to this is now dead, but I think it is important to note that several Italian actors and actresses were proud members of this club. This page is often vandalized, not just this section. I have been monitoring this article since its creation. It is easy enough to revert vandalism. Clerks. (talk) 18:20, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If the link is dead, how can we tell those who should be included from those who have been added through vandalism? It isn't verifiable. Fences and windows (talk) 19:48, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I found the page on the Internet Archive. Yet, is this page a reliable source for reporting this information? Fences and windows (talk) 20:29, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In 2007, when this article was created, it was clear who was a member of this association. Here is the link to the Internet Archive- http://web.archive.org/web/20071217165429/www.clubdeibrutti.com/storia.html Clerks. (talk) 14:22, 15 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
