WPS members disagree with the detail of these claims. It's well known that Tom Murray,of Viewforth in Edinburgh , veteran of the Spanish Civil War set up WPS aided by Michael McCreery amongst others.Matt Lygate was a criminal masquerading as a communist. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WPSno6 (talk • contribs)
If this is well known, could you provide some sort of reference? I'm prepared to believe the sources which claim it was founded by Lygate could be mistaken (and have reworded the article as a result), but surely there must be some record of Murray founding it? Is not a fact that there were two different Workers Party of Scotland. One in the 1960s to early 70s
and a later one in the 1980s that had similar policies to the British and Irish Communist Organisation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.129.161.199 (talk • contribs)
