I believe this article should not be deleted because of the following reasons: 1- WMF is a significant research organization that contribute positively to the production of knowledge on gender and women's studies in the Arab Region 2- There is a public demand for this article while concerned students and scholars want to check this wiki entry 3- The article includes credible references; however due to the fact that this is my first time to create a wiki article, these references are not properly formatted

Now that the references are properly formatted, I have to say that they're not useful. They certainly are credible -- but they're not references to anything that has been said by a reliable source that demonstrates any notability for this topic. They are references that demonstrate that the things that you've cited exist, and those don't have any utility in this context. The other two arguments you have advanced don't have any reference to any Wikipedia policy and are merely the assertions of someone who is obviously concerned with the organization; essentially, self-serving advertising. If you have some references where an arm's-length third-party expert source of opinion, writing in a credible publication like a book, magazine or newspaper, has said that this organization has any notability, I suggest you add them as soon as possible. at any rate, it does show enough notability to pass speedy. References are not necessary for that, but, exactly as Accounting4Taste says, better references will be needed to stay in Wikipedia. You need to show notability with references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases). But much more important, the current material is in large part taken from their web site, and that is unacceptable. You can however give us permission if you own the material or can persuade the forum, either by putting a suitable license on your web page, or by sending us permission. The procedures are described at WP:DCM, and need to be followed exactly. I advise you to improve this article very quickly, before the article gets deleted by a regular deletion process. Otherwise, rewrite it entirely--not just paraphrase. As reviewing administrator, I need to remove it, but I am rewriting a little of it as a placeholder. I advise you to take care of this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 20:01, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
