It was first held in 2010, but is not organized by FIFA.
Oh yeah? Well then, who organized it? I could put many other which did not organize these. 85.217.23.66 (talk) 20:56, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I could not find the organizing body info anywhere. It seems this is not organized by FIFA or AMF, and what can it then be? National organizations? Your guess is as good as mine. 85.217.34.67 (talk) 05:39, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all - was about to slap a {{Cleanup red links}} tag on the page, but then came to my senses and realized that hey, someone should get to making those pages - they actually seem rather important and beneficial. Just letting everyone know in case someone else feels the urge to put a red links template on here. Theopolisme TALK 03:29, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is there actually any proof of this year tournament? The article has no cite for it, at least. I could not find it from Futsalplanet.com, though things are not very easy to find on that website. 82.141.127.125 (talk) 03:17, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, now it actually is there, with an article indeed. But what is the source to the claim that 2013 tournament is hosted by Venezuela? I could not find it by googling. 85.217.34.67 (talk) 21:41, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is the source of future information? futsalplanet.com has the results of the older ones. "Championships" link has national club championships, so did "Almanac" link, "Tournaments" link seem to have only tournaments which are played in same country every year. Very strange indeed. 85.217.34.67 (talk) 01:39, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2013 tournament

[edit]

The article has Japan as the 2013 host, but I found a "Women's Futsal World Cup 2013", which is played in Colombia from November 7 to November 16. It is organized by AMF, so I have no idea if it's the same or not. Though strangely "Participating nations" table has Venezuela as host... 82.141.95.202 (talk) 02:54, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This article refers to the competition organized undo the FIFA game rules. The competition in Colombia, organized by AMF is a diferent competition for other variant of futsal (see AMF for details between AMF-FIFA issue).Rpo.castro (talk) 22:17, 26 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
So it's with FIFA rules, but not organized by FIFA? Still, it would be nice to know the organizer. 82.141.95.202 (talk) 01:10, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's organized under supervision of FIFA, but still not official yet (that's why its name is World Tournament instead of World Cup, and why there is no qualifying stage). FIFA each year chooses the organizer/host, a National Football/Futsal Association. For the 2014 Tournament the organizer is Federación Venezolana de Fútbol (Venezuela Football Association). A FIFA World Cup is expected por the next years. Rpo.castro (talk) 12:27, 27 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

active tournament?

[edit]

So, is this an active tournament? It was organized yearly, but now it's been three years since the latest one. At least I could not find anything about newer ones. 91.154.188.185 (talk) 07:07, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
