Sourcing

[edit]

Looking at the sources for this article, it's not looking good. Of what's there, it only seems that the media sources are at all reliable—if they're relevant. Anyone looked these over yet? :bloodofox: (talk) 22:55, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

One problem with the article is that it is so US-centric. Women in black appear in several cultures other than the US. Xxanthippe (talk) 23:01, 14 June 2019 (UTC).[reply]
This is quite true. Has anyone checked the Aarne-Thompson-Uther motif index for this? The closest I'm finding is "E422.2.4. †E422.2.4. Revenant black. Irish: Cross, O'Suilleabhain 63, Beal XXI 324." Compare "E425.1.1. †E425.1.1. Revenant as lady in white. *M. Waehler Die Weisse Frau (Erfurt, 1931); Fb "jomfru" II 43a; Tobler 68, 90; New York: Jones JAFL LVII 239; England, Scotland, Wales, U.S.: *Baughman." :bloodofox: (talk) 23:03, 14 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
