Jeffords Reference
[edit]I've eliminated the Jeffords remark. This has everything to do with Jeffords and almost nothing to do with Prouty. If we quoted everyone who made a controversial decision and justified it with a reference to Winston Prouty, we would have an extremely long, and essentially meaningless article. And it would never end!
Prouty should be the subject of a biography on him, not the object. I could make an exception for someone higher ranking than him, such as a President, Supreme Court Justice, Ambassador, Pope, etc. But even then, the remarks should be more or less contemporaneous with his life.Student7 03:15, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
Analysis of running for Rep in 1950
[edit]I added these remarks about his "luck" in running for office. Are they too subjective for an encyclopia? They seem accurate. I don't think they are POV.Student7 21:35, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
A second middle name
[edit]I can't believe how long that extra middle name has been there and I didn't catch it. "Forever" it seems. There is no reference outside of Wikipedia or Wapedia references that have that "other" middle name however. If anyone comes up with one, please give a reference/footnote.
