Stevens (Stephens) College

[edit]

I think the “Stevens College” mentioned in the “later life” section is a common misspelling of Stephens College. Seeing that she was from Columbia, Missouri and taught at the University of Missouri makes this seem likely. What was her association with Stephens? Was she faculty? If so, she should be placed in Category:Stephens College faculty. Grey Wanderer (talk) 16:05, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank for your question about her teaching career. This information on the Wikipedia page came from the SOVA record on the Smithsonian Online Virtual Archives website (https://sova.si.edu/record/NAA.1996-13). It lists that Thomas's papers include "teaching materials from her time as a professor at Stevens College and University of Missouri." She was a professor at Stephens College. I will make sure to update her categories to reflect this with Category:Stephens College faculty. Thank you for your comment and for catching this misspelling. I will update her categories list and to correct the misspelling on the Wikipedia page. E. Cieslik (talk) 17:21, 28 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

High School

[edit]

I am curious where she attended high school. The move from Anna Arbor to Columbia, presumably with her parents, makes me think they may have been academics and she may have attended the University of Missouri Laboratory School. Grey Wanderer (talk) 20:55, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
