Hey! I look forward to reviewing this article! Just to let you know, I am a bit busy in real life right now, so I can't promise I can get to reviewing straight away, but expect comments by this Sunday. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 05:16, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

First Pass: The Basics

[edit]
  • checkY Article is stable
  • checkY Pictures are PD and properly sourced and are relevant
  • checkY Article includes a clear list of references
  • checkY No glaring spelling/grammar, source, prose issues

When I find more free time, I will go deeper, but this first pass is a basic check to make sure that the article is worth reviewing at a deeper level.

Second Pass

[edit]
  • checkY Copyvio looks alright
  • original research check:
    • AGF on reference 4; can't easily access
    • In the second half of the first biography paragraph, do you mean to link the PCAD ref inline? It looks like you pulled info about Chinn's life there that I couldn't find in the references you provided inline.
    • Otherwise, the article looks pretty good OR-wise.
  • I made some minor copyedits, so if you want to take a look, go ahead and do so.
  • Totally up to you, but I'd recommend splitting up as well as the Chinaland Restaurant on the Bothell-Everett Highway from the rest of the sentence. It may be grammatically correct, but it gets a little awkward to read (but splitting up might not sound better, your choice ).

@Generalissima: Hey, this article is in pretty good shape and looks ready to pass as long as you intelligently respond to the minor suggestions I've made. ❤HistoryTheorist❤ 00:52, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • New enough GA (what a really cool subject!). Hook is fascinating and within the parameters. Image looks good to go for running on the main page—maybe I'll write an article for the building? QPQ done. No concerns regarding refs, copyvio, etc. Great work! ~ Pbritti (talk) 03:46, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Does a source not mention the subject?

[edit]

@Generalissima Hey there, I noticed that source 3 [1] doesn't mention the subject at all. Am I missing something? If it doesn't mention him, could it be removed? (To be clear, this isn't OR, since Source 1 backs that sentence up, I'm just curious why Source 3 was used.) Toadspike [Talk] 13:50, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Toadspike: I used that source so I can say where in the city that school is. It can be removed if need be Generalissima (talk) (it/she) 15:29, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Aha, that makes a lot of sense. No need to remove it, sorry for bothering you! Toadspike [Talk] 19:59, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
