Image removal
[edit]There has been an edit war of sorts over inclusion of File:Bashir_Makhoul.jpg. The image description page characterizes it as an "artists impression". Contrast it with the image [1] on the official website. Either obtain a true and representative image, or leave the image out. Use of distorted images or misrepresentative ones is a WP:BLP violation. ++Lar: t/c 06:03, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- File:Bashir_Makhoul.jpg was deleted because it violates the Biography of living people policy. Please do not re-upload this image or create and upload other images that misrepresent the appearance of an individual. FloNight♥♥♥♥ 12:58, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Pending changes
[edit]This article is one of a number selected for the early stage of the trial of the Wikipedia:Pending Changes system on the English language Wikipedia. All the articles listed at Wikipedia:Pending changes/Queue are being considered for level 1 pending changes protection.
The following request appears on that page:
Many of the articles were selected semi-automatically from a list of indefinitely semi-protected articles. Please confirm that the protection level appears to be still warranted, and consider unprotecting instead, before applying pending changes protection to the article. |
Comments on the suitability of theis page for "Pending changes" would be appreciated.
Please update the Queue page as appropriate.
Note that I am not involved in this project any much more than any other editor, just posting these notes since it is quite a big change, potentially

- Partly done. Because Wikipedia is not a directory it is inappropriate to list all the programmes of study an educational establishment offers; I've therefore removed the old list without adding the new items requested above. The photograph in the Wessex Scene is subject to copyright and therefore cannot be included on Wikipedia. WaggersTALK 09:15, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarify about the programmes, but the bottom photo is of the 'Graphics Building'. We do not have a Textile Conservation Centre anymore. And the top photo is of the 'Admin Building'. Please can you relabel them?
Also, please can you take off the links that I mentioned.
Thanks a lot.

- The "links" you are talking about aren't just external links, they're references, so should not be removed (even if one of the links is now dead). I can see you have a bit to learn about Wikipedia! I'll drop you a message on your talk page shortly with some useful links.
- I'll relabel the photos now. WaggersTALK 10:29, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Please remove the picture. It is not of Winchester School of Art. It's the main University of Southampton campus.
Thank you for the change, but the bottom photo is of the Graphics Building. We do not have a Textile Conservation Centre anymore. Please can you relabel it? Also, please can you add the extra courses that I listed and take off the links that I mentioned. Thanks a lot. 219.78.160.232 (talk) 10:20, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
- Done. How very strange. WaggersTALK 10:49, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

Please add sound artist Haroon Mirza to the existing list of Notable alumni on the page. Haroon Mirza attended Winchester School of Art and graduated with a BA in Painting in 2002. I have included a number of sources below which verify this:
