Shotgun v. handgun

[edit]

Admittedly, I am not as much of an expert on weaponry as Drmies, but the picture looks like a handgun. Most shotguns seem to be shaped more like rifles than this one. The picture is certainly helpful in this respect, but can some clarification be made in the article about what makes this a shotgun and how it is distinguished from the more rifle like shotguns that are more familiar to us commoners outside the trade? Is this how shotguns looked back then? Is there such a thing as a shotgun hangun? Thanks. ChildofMidnight (talk) 19:28, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The photo was removed and a google serach indicates it wasn't any likeness of this shotgun at all. ChildofMidnight (talk) 21:15, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Haha boy, take it from a Southerner--that weren't no shotgun! If you wanna know what one looks like, try and ask my daughter for a date. (Today's her birthday, by the way!) Yes, I removed the image. Should the image itself be brought up for deletion? PS: I did once see a revolver with huge, longer chambers, which reportedly fired shotgun shells. That has to be the ultimate deterrent (after common sense). Drmies (talk) 21:17, 5 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
