dates
[edit]see if he wrote his first play, keep your eyes down low' in 1975, then how could have john, george, paul, ringo and bert, have transfered to the west end in 1974, either one or both of these dates is incorrect, ie his play couldn't have transfered before it had even been written. yakacm 3rd march 2012. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.0.20.91 (talk) 10:34, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
I have just checked the source quoted for the date, and the date given for him writing his first play is incorrect, it states on willie russel's own web site (which is actaully the source given for the date of 1975) that it was 1971, so i guess this is just a typo, and explains the anomoly, so i have changed it. Willy Russell Relative
[edit]Hello. I am a relative of Willy Russell. His dad, Billy, was my great grandma, Rene’s, brother. So therefore, he is my nan’s cousin. He grew up around Prescot and knows the area very well. BIGSPUDDER (talk) 11:32, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
Copied
[edit]Sections of this page are copied almost verbatim from Russell's website, and without citing reference. And to make things worse they are in places not even copied correctly. Take the text: "... took a programme of two one-act plays to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe ..." but when we visit Russell's own website [stated on the Wikipedia page] we read: "... took a programme of three one-act plays to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival ...". I think I'll go with Russell's own account of three and not two one-act plays. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.187.174.42 (talk) 20:51, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
