Area of the historic district

[edit]

I slapped a "dubious" tag on the area of the historic district, as the description of the district is not consistent with its being 190 acres. A square that is 190 acres would have dimensions of slightly more than 1/2 mile on each side. Looking at a Google map of the locations of the streets named in the description, it appears that this HD is pretty small. I think it likely that this is (like Wauregan Historic District, Norris District, and several others in Tennessee for which I've compared the NRHP nom form with the NRIS acreage) another case of an extra zero in the NRIS database, and that the HD is actually 19 acres (equal to a square about 909 feet on each side). --Orlady (talk) 19:50, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Polaron has removed the acreage from the article, leaving an edit summary that says "rm area -- 19 acres is indeed closer than 190 based on the rough boundary map from the CT office of planning and management." --Orlady (talk) 00:26, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
