[edit]Speedy is only for articles that do not assert notability. To say someone is an emeritus professor at a university like Stanford is to assert notability in an clear way. The actual notability, though, depends. In general all full professors, present or past, at major research universities have done sufficiently important work that they are considered notable, as shown by repeated consensus at AfD.
The article needs expansion--he probably has some awards, and they should be listed with references. I think the papers listed are the most recent papers, its also important to give the most cited , to show how colleagues asses his work. 02:02, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
