Obituary text
[edit]I removed the text of a long obituary from the article. There was nothing to indicate it is in the public domain, and if it were it belongs in Wikisource rather than here. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 20:56, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
Why is this article in the "Knights of Columbus" category?
[edit]Unless I missed it, I don't see any mention of the Knights of Columbus in this article. And yet this article is in Category:Knights of Columbus. Novellasyes (talk) 13:00, 6 October 2023 (UTC)
- It was probably in the Obituary text, mentioned int he section above. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 13:22, 23 October 2024 (UTC).
The obit contained the following:
He was the first president of the National Council of Catholic Men (1920-1925), became a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint Gregory (military class) by Pope Benedict, became honorary vice president of the Catholic Laymen’s Association of Georgia, and was inducted into the Order of the Knights of Malta.
Unfortunately I cannot yet find the source of the obit.
All the best: Rich Farmbrough 20:43, 23 October 2024 (UTC).
