Nice pic and nice starter article. I tried changing the infobox type to NRHP2 to show the map location within Illinois, too. Please revert if prefer without. I also like the way the NRIS search is described, setting up how to run the search. Cheers, doncram (talk) 09:14, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do like the idea, I just don't like the aesthetic of photo-map-info, I think it would work much better, and look better if it went photo-info-map. Thoughts? IvoShandor (talk) 12:15, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and thanks for the compliments. My style has been ever evolving but the NRIS setup came after a lengthy discussion with an overseas editor who had a terrible time trying to access the NRIS and then, once there, an even worse time trying to figure out how to use it. Since I have come back after my long five month hiatus I have been adding the search query with some specifics on what to search for in the link, location by city is usually the easiest for smaller towns and cities (doesn't work so well for big places). I just hope they don't kill the NRIS once the NPS Focus stuff goes online in full, we have a lot of links to the NRIS around here. IvoShandor (talk) 12:19, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes i agree that photo-info-map order is better, it has been discussed as a change to make in the NRHP2 infobox. I think in every case that I have seen the photo-info-map order is better, and I plan to change that (or get Dudemanfellabra to change it).
That's a good explanation on the importance of making an improved NRIS reference, about the difficulty with an overseas editor. If you don't mind, I will add something about this into the draft WP:NRHPMOS, perhaps using this example. Or please feel free to add about it yourself. Please feel free to expand on Wikipedia:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places/Style guide#Formatting of references to NRIS. Thanks! doncram (talk) 16:22, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think the conversation is on the talk page at 55 Central Park West if I am not mistaken. IvoShandor (talk) 21:10, 27 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
