hiyA I'm changing the first line from this: "Major Sir William Newenham Montague Orpen, KBE (27 November 1878 - 29 September 1931) was an Irish-born British portrait painter." to this: "Major Sir William Newenham Montague Orpen, KBE (27 November 1878 - 29 September 1931) was an Irish portrait painter." Until 1922, the whole of Ireland was represented at Westminster. Valetude (talk) 15:52, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

New images

Hey all, I've just uploaded a collection of high-resolution paintings by Orpen from the National Portrait Gallery, London and was letting you know in case you thought some of them might be useful. One particularly remarkable one is a self-portrait by Orpen, first image below. Dcoetzee 07:25, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
