William McCary of Natchez, former sheriff?
[edit]I read in the books, "Mississippi Black History Makers" and "Race Against Time: Culture and Separation in Natchez Since 1930" there was a man of the same name, William McCary, that was once the first black sheriff of Natchez and he also worked as a barber, teacher, and alderman. Is this the same person?
