Loony Hinde?
[edit]Hi
Do we know if this is the same guy as Loony/Looney Hinde - an officer in the British Army during the Second World War, who raised to the rank of Brigadier and commanded the 22nd Armoured Brigade, 7th Armoured Division?--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 12:13, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- I've just noticed the same thing. They appear to have the same forenames, in a different order, and the same date of birth and year of death. Espresso Addict (talk) 03:12, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
- They seem to be one and the same individual according to this website: http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/hi/william-hinde-1.html
- Same conclusion from this book: https://books.google.fr/books?id=9i-bgOjaVysC&pg=PA124&dq=%22robert+Hinde%22+major+polo&hl=fr&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwirwKDo5MbTAhUJOxoKHcS1DGYQ6AEIKjAB#v=snippet&q=%22Hinde%22&f=false
- Moreover, it seems his usual first name was Robert and not William. The two pages should be merged and renamed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:CB08:43:5500:81CC:1E61:D078:79ED (talk) 09:02, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
