Extra information from William Hicks' descendents
[edit]Hello, I am William Hicks' great great grandson, and I was delighted to discover this topic in Wikipedia. As descendents, my sisters and I have extra information about William (e.g. his career in the Navy and his life afterwards in the Church of England). This message is to announce that I intend to edit the article, mostly by adding information. But I am a newbie to Wikipedia editing (I only created my account today) so I have some learning to do!
Also the article mentions that William Hicks was "Chief Officer of the Coastguard at Burton Bradstock". This is news to me - I wonder which years he held this post, and what records support this. Thanks a lot. NigelHicks (talk) 18:43, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
