Civil War Service
[edit]This article I have linked states that Hall did not enter the corps of engineers until after 1865, explicitly staying removed from the Civil War on the wishes of his parents. He attended school in Stockton CA. While I can find sources that he did live in Stockton with his family (not mentioned on this page) I haven't found anything explicit for when he joined the corps of engineers. This page isn't sourced on the matter either. http://www.foundsf.org/index.php?title=Golden_Gate_Park_History — Preceding unsigned comment added by J1DW (talk • contribs) 04:29, 7 April 2020 (UTC)
