Territorial Decoration

[edit]

I have not found a direct source for Grant being awarded a Territorial Decoration.

However, he is credited with a post-nominal TD in 3 of the 4 Gazette announcements of his appointments from 1958 onwards:

Year Event Gazette Post-nominals
1951 QC "No. 16879". The Edinburgh Gazette. 7 August 1951. Esquire, advocate
1955 Solicitor General "No. 17251". The Edinburgh Gazette. 14 January 1955. Esquire, Q.C.
1955 elected MP "No. 17294". The Edinburgh Gazette. 3 June 1955. Esq
1958 Privy Counsellor "No. 41404". The London Gazette (invalid |supp= (help)). 3 June 1958. Esq, TD, QC, MP
1959 elected MP "No. 17760". The Edinburgh Gazette. 16 October 1959. TD, QC
1960 Lord Avocate "No. 17812". The Edinburgh Gazette. 12 April 1960. QC, MP
1962 Lord Justice Clerk "No. 18072". The Edinburgh Gazette. 25 September 1962. TD, QC

That seems enough to include the post-nominal in the article. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:06, 13 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
