Reference style
[edit]My main purpose in adding the {{wikify}} tag was to get the references in a proper format. Right now, all I see are a bunch of non-superscripted numerals scattered throughout the text, and a numbered list of references at the bottom. It's not clear that they're supposed to be connected. Please see Wikipedia:Citing sources for details on how to cite sources properly. Powers T 14:58, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Historic/scientific context needed
[edit]Ritter was hardly the first scientist to believe that it was important "to study living things in their natural environment." I made a modest edit to this section, but more should be done to contextualize Ritter's work. Additional information on Ritter's relationship with E.W. Scripps, plus references, is needed.
