William Alexander Byrson was a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, thus meeting WP:ACADEMIC Criterion 3.
Speculatively, the reason for the move of F. A. Fitzbayne from Great Yarmouth the Leith in 1906 was the death of William Alexander Bryson in that year, which makes it likely that the initial installation of the Leith Electric Tram was under the supervision of William Alexander Byrson.
