Hi, I came by to promote this, but neither hook is "hooky". The purpose of a hook is to "reel in" the reader to click on the article and learn more. These hooks tell us nothing about him. Greeting, Yoninah. I tried to find something "hooky" that was related to his acquisitions but so far I haven't found anything that would be unique to him. Most sources I come across praise his abilities, but I doubt he would be the only art expert to be described that way. I will keep looking, but I had a different idea for an ALT2. He is most notable for his work at the Meadows Museum, in particular how he changed its reputation into a prominent one, at a time when they had just opened and were struggling, with no prior work experience. I have expanded on that in the article. I have used "most prominent" as different sources describe its collection as "the best" or "the finest" collection of Spanish art outside of Spain. @The Most Comfortable Chair: thank you for the alts. As much as you want to represent him properly, a hook is not the place to do that. It has to be hooky, not narrative. But if you want to proceed with the alts, then the last clause, with no prior work experience, is hanging onto the end in a strange way. You could write instead:

I have used "The catalog" instead of "It". They published the catalog in the format of a book (with the same title), as they commonly do after exhibitions or catalogs are at display. The second sentence of the first paragraph flows illogically -- you start with his ability to tell forgeries, then his private collection, then a quote about his ability to tell forgeries.

The KERA quote seems out of place in the body of the text. It'd be better as a {{Quote box}}.
I have tried using that template, and others as well, but it either causes the prose to get sandwiched between the quote and image or pushes the prose way below at the bottom of the image, leaving a lot of empty space. Would you be able to help me out with this one please? The NYT sources should be marked with "|url-access=limited" -- while they have been archived, that little lock icon will show up next to the original URL

I'd consider "only one editor since November 2020" to be pretty damn stable.
Earwig score is decent at 36.7%, and it's only that high because of a direct quote and a bunch of titles that can't exactly be paraphrased
All photos look PD or otherwise properly licensed.
All photos are relevant except for the one captioned "He acquired 75 paintings throughout his tenure", which doesn't indicate whether the paintings pictured are part of his acquisitions.

My preferred method for giving credit to a quote is saying "[author] of [publication]", in this case the Dallas Morning News.
I think the clarification of the catalog into book makes a little more sense now. "which was published as a book with the same name later that year" would be a good clarification.
Since the quote box is a minor issue that has very little to do with the prose and will become more relevant at FAC, I can toy with that separately from this GAN. Once the other two points are addressed, I can pass the article. Kncny11(shoot)21:23, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
