NPOV cleanup
[edit]I made a slight change to this article. The previous version noted that he had been criticised for his policy on excluding women from the Augusta Club, 'despite his progressive social record'. This 'despite' seems clearly non-neutral to me - Wikipedia biographies should not be defending their subjects, simply stating the facts without judgement. (Besides, it's a bit of a non sequitur: it's quite possible for someone to have a 'progressive record' in one respect and not in another, so that isn't really relevant to the Augusta controversy.) I removed the clause, and kept the details of his 'record' in the article but renamed them to 'other history'. Robofish (talk) 21:06, 20 August 2012 (UTC)
- Nicely done. As I recall, the construction that you removed closely followed the source from which the Cleghorn comment came. Either way, your version works well! 842U (talk) 01:58, 21 August 2012 (UTC)
