Death location queried

[edit]

I notice that his death place in the infobox is given as in the Ukrainian SSR (modern state of independent Ukraine), but his record in the German war grave site to which the article is sited indicates the location as being, in German, "Woroschilowsk" - which equates to Voroschilovsk, the former name of Stavropol which is in the Russian Federated Republic and not in Ukraine. Can someone look into this?Cloptonson (talk) 17:20, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I also question that while this article states he died in a prisoner of war camp, his German wikipedia article states he died in a "Soviet military hospital" (albeit he was POW at the time).Cloptonson (talk) 18:23, 30 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace discrepancy

[edit]

Also leading me to question the identification is that this article states his birthplace to be Berlin, but the birthplace given on the man known to the German war grave site is Kriescht, the German name for a small town Krzeszyce now in Poland. I have raised a citation need against the birthplace stated in the article's infobox.Cloptonson (talk) 07:49, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
