skillz
[edit]not to be a party pooper, but why is wiki so quick to annoint anyone and everyone as a "singer, songwriter, tv personality, movie star and model"? did willa write this article herself? it sounds desperate for attention. if you look at the articles of a REAL singer or a REAL actor, they don't list EVERY SINGLE skill that person has. maybe my definition of "actor" is different than most. i sing in the car, but that doesn't make me a singer. jus' sayin'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.241.143.189 (talk) 00:43, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Willa isn't her own manager. She has an acting manager (the same as Angelina Jolie) and her mother who is/was her tour manager.
- Willa is not a professional opera singer. She's only been trained/study opera when she was younger, she does not have a degree in opera. Willa is not known as a famous opera singer like "Sarah Brightman".
- F.U. was not going to be put on Sexysexobessive, it was scrapped with her first attempt with her second album. For Sexysexobessive she started off freash.
- Lingerie Bowl III has already aired so it is no longer upcoming.
- Willa Was Here has not gone multi-platinum, the album is not certified according to RIAA certification.

1. Willa is her own manager. DAS only worked with Willa on "SexySexObsessive" and both of my sources, Willa stating it in an interview and her friend Kelly stating it on her message board, clearly let the fact be known that Willa isn't her own manager. She has the same acting agent as Angelina, but they are not her manager.
2. Willa is a professional opera singer. She might not be well known for it, but she is one and has a professional degree as one.
3. A revamped version of "F.U." was going to be put on "SexySexObsessive."
4. Yes, the Lingerie Bowl III already did air, correct, on February 5, 2006 from 7:30pm to 9pm.
5. Internationally, the album "Willa Was Here" has gone multi-platinum. Outside of the U.S., platinum certifications are not all 1 million. In some countries its even 35,000 or 75,000 or 100,000, etc. So yes, she has gone multi-platinum and it specificially states that on her Lingerie Bowl III biography.
1. Willa was with DAS with "Willa Was Here" as well as "Sexysexobessive". In the VH1 interview it does not say she is her own manager. As for the message board, you have to be a member to view the information.
- Here is what you can use for sources on wiki.
- Original research is a term used on Wikipedia to refer to material added to articles by Wikipedia editors that has not been published already by a reputable source. In this context it means unpublished theories, data, statements, concepts, arguments, and ideas; or any new interpretation, analysis, or synthesis of published data, statements, concepts, or arguments that appears to advance a position or, in the words of Wikipedia's co-founder Jimbo Wales, would amount to a "novel narrative or historical interpretation."
- Primary sources present information or data, such as archeological artifacts; film, video or photographs (but see below); historical documents such as a diary, census, transcript of a public hearing, trial, or interview; tabulated results of surveys or questionnaires, records of laboratory assays or observations; records of field observations.
- Secondary sources present a generalization, analysis, synthesis, interpretation, or evaluation of information or data from other sources.

- A primary source is a document that provides direct evidence regarding an event. The term most often refers to a document produced by an authoritative participant in an event or an observer of that event. It usually is an official report, an original letter, a media account by a journalist who actually observed the event, or an autobiography. Statistics compiled by an authoritative agency at the time are considered primary sources. The "no original research" rule means Wikipedia articles should not depend on primary sources but rather on reliable secondary sources who have made careful use of the primary-source material. Most primary-source material requires training to use correctly, especially on historical topics. Wikipedia articles may use primary sources only if have been published by a reliable publisher e.g. historic documents that appear in edited collections. We may not use primary sources whose information has not been made available by a reliable publisher.

2. Site the source where it say's she has a degree in opera, also since she isn't known for opera singing state it in her bio or her trivia not in the heading.
3. http://worldofwilla.cjb.net/ does not state that F.U. was going to be revamped for "Sexysexobsessive". If it was please site source.
4. Which is why the last two paragraphs got changed, to state that fact. As well as to make sure the information isn't dated or using 'weasel words'/'peacock terms'. With phases such as "While only two months through" and "received huge amounts of success" Wikipedia:Avoid_statements that will date quickly and Wikipedia:Avoid peacock_terms
5. Australia's ARIA, Canada's CRIA , France's SNEP, Germany's IFPI, Japan's RIAJ, United Kingdom's BPI, and USA's RIAA, all don't show Willa's albums and singles being gold or platinum. Willa's biggest market was/is the USA. As for the numbers that you stated those are the number of albums an artist would need to get to receive a gold or platinum album. Please site you source that shows she sold that many albums and where.

Fair use rationale for Image:Willawashere.jpg
[edit]Image:Willawashere.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

New name...
[edit]The Dallas Stars held a tribute to Mike Modano tonight (11/21/07), and his wife was introduced as "Mandy Modano." I guess she has dropped her stage name since her marriage. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.116.140.177 (talk) 01:53, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Birthday
[edit]Uhhhhh how can she be born on February 30? That date doesn't exist... Alright... even with the article on 2/30, she was born in Orlando, Florida, USA (Not sure on it being Orlando specifically, the extent of my history of her is based on her years as Nick Carter's girlfriend) which obviously uses the Gregorian calendar.
