Can't find any sources at the moment, but I'm pretty sure I read that Lonnie Loach wore 99 at some point in his NHL career (early 90s). I think that the part where it says "the kid wanted a balloon" is intentional vandalisation. In the commercial for Leon's there is a kid who asks paimont for a balloon, but Paiemont mistakes it as a request for his autograph.
