According to my information, the HAWK battery assigned to Wildflecken was re-flagged several times. I believe that for at least one period there were two batteries, one towed and one mobile. The information I have indicates the following chronology:
C Battery, 3/7 Air Defense Artillery (1961)
B Battery, 6/52 Air Defense Artillery (1962)
B Battery, 6/562 Air Defense Artillery (1963-1964)
B Battery, 1/1 Air Defense Artillery (1964-1987)
HQ Battery, 1/1 Air Defense Artillery (1976-1987)
B Battery, 6/52 Air Defense Artillery (1987-1992)
The 1961-1964 information is based on personal knowledge as I was assigned to the HAWK battery during that period.
By the way, the Battalion Headquarters for the first three were Schweinfurt, Hanau, and Butzbach, respectively.
