Wi-Di (Intel Wireless Display) is not the same as Miracast

[edit]

Wi-Di (Intel Wireless Display) is not the same as Miracast. This redirect is incorrect. Nitwon (talk) 12:43, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

does, not what WiDi actually is

[edit]

This article only mentions what it does, not what WiDi actually is. Is it a new coprocessor, an instruction set extension, a systems component specification (like ultrabook), or a protocol specification ?

It would be awesome if someone could post the release dates for the various versions so ppl could easily check which versions their TV's likely support. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.67.94.98 (talk) 10:30, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

1080 is not a measure of "video quality" but only of resolution. Quality is determined more by bit rate. Liquidvisual (talk) 16:25, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The version number where WiDi is supported on Android devices is incorrect

[edit]

The version number where WiDi is supported on Android devices is incorrect. It should be Android 4.2+, not 2.2+. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.148.186.87 (talk) 06:04, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not just discontinued, unavailable. Intel has removed all the WiDi software downloads so if you have a compatible PC running Windows 7, Intel doesn't want you to be able to use WiDi on it. Bizzybody (talk) 22:51, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
