Name; Whin Sill or Great Whin Sill
[edit]I hear it commonly referred to as "Great Whin Sill" and indeed the article does this too. But the title omits it. Should it? Nomorenonotnever (talk) 09:25, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- There are, as the article now mentions, two Whin Sills; the Great ~' and the 'Little ~' though 'Whin Sill' is shorthand for either just the bigger of the two or else the combination. Geopersona (talk) 07:30, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
The Sill visitor centre
[edit]There is now a visitor centre, nay, National Landscape Discovery Centre
, called The Sill. Its website is here. I haven't yet looked closely enough to confirm my vague feeling that this article could or perhaps even should mention it. What do you think? Best to all, DBaK (talk) 15:29, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- Perhaps in the conventional section (as yet, absent from this article) "External links"? Feline Hymnic (talk) 21:06, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks Feline Hymnic. The thing that was slowing me from doing so straight off was that it was not instantly obvious to me from their lovely site that it is significantly enough about the Whin Sill, rather than it just being a nice/neat/clever name for a place there. If you think it's clear that there is a tight enough link for an EL please feel free! If not, I will get round to a proper look sooner or later, but probably not very quickly! Thanks and all good wishes DBaK (talk) 22:31, 13 November 2021 (UTC)
