Trivia

[edit]

The "trivia police" on Wikipedia have gotten pathetically out of hand. So many different readings of what make it means to permeate pop culture; the fact that thge ad campaign permeated to the extent that it led off an epsiode of SNL speaks for itself. It's NOT TRIVIA, but whatever, I'm not going to engage in an editing war with people who can't comprehend that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 161.113.11.16 (talk) 16:55, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lots of things cause skits on SNL and other shows, whether they're notable enough to include is the question. I've been doing this for ten years now, and am quite knowledgeable what trivia is - as are the others who have reverted the additions of what more than qualifies as trivia. Repeatedly. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 18:25, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I think the more accurate statement is that you have become quite adept at enforcing your own definition of trivia; it's a wildly non-precise and inconsistent measure being applied across the board by various admins. Mystic Technocrat (talk) 15:49, 13 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
