Time to split?

[edit]

We aren't nearing a size limit where a split would be warranted, so I wanted other thoughts on if we should. If we start getting a lot of season 2 info, we could very easily make a split, it would just make this article very bare I think. The (not updated) current version of this article can be seen here. Drafts for season 1 and 2 also exist. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:33, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I know there is overall more info for Loki, but was the main article also pretty bare after the split? ZooBlazer 18:20, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think once we get more information on season 2 (maybe closer to release?) a split could work, though I wouldn't stand in the way of it being done now if that's what others want. I'm not too concerned with the main series article becoming potentially barren, as there should be more material to add over time. Trailblazer101 (talk) 02:50, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fine with splitting whenever. It would benefit the general audience who cone here to split before the season, but if there isn't enough info to split then, then we can wait until after the season airs. ZooBlazer 03:56, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The drafts and my sandbox are up to date. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:25, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's not too bare bones, so I'm fine with splitting sooner than later, but if others would rather wait, that's fine with me as well. ZooBlazer 04:38, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I agree it's not that bare. It actually looks quite good to me. I'd be fine with splitting off real soon. Trailblazer101 (talk) 05:10, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I can boldly go ahead with this. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:27, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Logline

[edit]

Favre1fan93,
A logline is a one or two sentences summary of a story.[1] I am not sure why you claimed the one sentence on the episode summary is not a logline. — YoungForever(talk) 17:49, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It's our own words, not an official press log line. The episode was screened to the public back at SDCC 2022 so per reports on the summary of the episode, a quick synopsis was made for that episode. The sources were included given it did not have a wide public release. So since it is a "released" episode, summary content is fair game, even if it is a single sentence or two. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:51, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Per {{Episode list}}, A short 100–200 word plot summary of the episode.YoungForever(talk) 19:26, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's a recommended range. Obviously, if the episode has already widely released, that is what one would strive for. But since it hasn't (as noted), but it was still described in the media from its public screening, the short summary that is there now with sourcing was added. This won't be the final one, and again, it's not a "logline" that was from a press release, that is not allowed because of WP:COPYVIO and WP:CLOSE issues. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 02:47, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
A {{efn}} or a {{More plot}} should be use. There is no context saying the episode was screened at SDCC 2022 on the article. — YoungForever(talk) 03:58, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
More plot and a hidden note further explaining added here. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 04:32, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffrey Wright not "cast"?

[edit]

I notice that, at least for the season 1 episodes, Jeffrey Wright isn't listed in the "Cast" section of the the infoboxes?

Should he be? I mean, he's in every episode, more than in some others. 2A00:23C6:761C:AF01:9D16:FFFA:1216:E1FB (talk) 15:27, 30 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Per {{Infobox television episode}}, the cast parameter is for guest stars of the episodes, not the main cast; Wright is the main cast as he is the only constant of this anthology series. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 17:23, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An Immersive Story

[edit]

What do we think about making a separate article for this? Too early? In addition to what we have in the section now, it has just won an Emmy and there is a soundtrack album being released. - adamstom97 (talk) 19:56, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think both of these mentions can currently be added just fine in the section here. Wouldn't be opposed to a draft being started to see if it looks like a full article can happen, but I think based on all we have for it (which is pretty much it from what I've seen outside a plot breakdown and maybe some more reception) it isn't enough to split off. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 23:21, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that it won an Emmy and there is more material about it in this article now, I think we can go ahead with a draft and see where it goes from there. With the award, that does make it a notable work. Trailblazer101 (talk) 21:48, 4 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
