Merging content back into National Grid (New Zealand) page

[edit]

It may be appropriate to merge the content from this page with the National Grid (New Zealand) page. The Whakamaru to Brownhill road transmission line is notable, and is a particularly large project, but if this page is left as-is it is perhaps somewhat stranded. There are unlikely to be other pages written about other lines, and ultimately what is important to our electricity system is the transmission network, not individual lines. Comments please. There is some overlap with National Grid (New Zealand), but this topic is notable in it's own right, so it merits it's own page. This page is a good place to have specific information, that would be distracting on the National Grid page. The NG page should be pitched at a national level, and there may be some detail there that could be moved to this page. There are individual pages for the separate power stations, so it would not be out of place to have a page for this transmission line. Just because we don't yet have pages on other AC transmission lines, doesn't mean we shouldn't have this page. --Pakaraki (talk) 18:07, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I will work on updating the content on this page, and improve the linkage with the main NG page. Marshelec (talk) 19:28, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
