[edit]There is none to find about. to change money was not a forbidden job in christian medieval - instead of giving credits.
The word in itself (wechseln) has also no hebraic or jiddish background. So can tell someone the proof?
on the other side there is a medieval coat of arms ...so Knightshift... I never think this was jiddish
