if you want to add a link to our Montessori school it is www.harbourviewmontessori.ca mike van (owner)

I'm new at this, and kind of messed up when editing. I added a new name to the notable name list but it links to another entry on a person with the same name. How can this be fixed? CapersAreCool 04:44, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't bother, he doesn't belong here. And if I was you, I would leave this entry, or John Morgan's alone. Some guy keeps reverting everything I edit. From now on, think before you edit. While adding that name was not vandalism, it doesn't belong in the entry of Westmount, Nova Scotia, and any further attempts to add this name will be considered vandalism, and if that happens, I will see that you are banned from editing anywheres on Wikipedia. Do I make myself clear? You better believe this. BayBoyBlues 00:34, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: MLA that was added and removed

[edit]

If he was the MLA in the area at that time, he should be include. BayBoyBlues is known for vandlising articles on a regular basis. He is not a creditable source for questions. If the person you link directs to someone else, do not link to them. IF they have a wikipedia page, link to that, i could not find one for this person so the correct move would be to remove the link, not the entry as it appears to be a valid edit to improve the article.-Kirkoconnell 01:22, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BayBoyBlues, The MLA that you said was inconsequential, is a good friend of my family and a well respected member of our community. I know you’re just a troll and you probably don’t care who you hurt, and even if he never sees what you wrote, I still did. I created this page because I wanted the whole world to know that even though Westmount is small, its a wonderful place. The people in this community are hard working and decent, especially John Newell. And quite frankly it doesn’t matter if you think he doesn’t belong because the non-partisan contributions he’s made to our community have secured him a place on this page. -Mary Larade —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.7.243.174 (talk) 04:52, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't put too much stock into anything that guys says. I'm new at this and trying to learn the ropes but from what I can tell, he hasn't made any effort to to improve articles, just to instigate with people who want to make serious edits. I tend to think his problem with John Newell has more to do with his political affiliation than the man himself. It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't even know who he is to begin with. Anyways, I added the name John Newell because I believed that he should be included in that list, and your post supporting the edit tells me I made the right move including him. Thanks.
