  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
There is not much of a layout at present. Try to split the content into sections, such as History or Construction, etc. Are there any other external links that can be added? Can you expand the opening a bit more to summarise the rest of the article?
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
The article seems very short at the moment. Is there anything else that can be written about the history of the building?
    B. Focused:
  4. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  6. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
  7. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:
This in on hold to enable improvements to be made. My aim is to never fail an article, but instead to see it improved to meet the GA criteria. Harrison49 (talk) 19:15, 27 April 2011 (UTC) The article is a lot better. Well done. Harrison49 (talk) 18:48, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The reason I decided against sections was due to the fact that it is a short article. I'll still try to add some additional content. However, the building itself has not really been written about, either online or in books. (I've scoured my local library/publications for info, as well.) That, combined with the name, ("George Westinghouse", "Air Brake Company" And "General office building" get tons of hits by themselves in search engines, and few places use the full name, i.e., "Westinghouse Air Brake Company General Office Building") make getting/finding information difficult. I'll do my best! Avicennasis @ 19:48, 23 Nisan 5771 / 27 April 2011 (UTC)
It's already looking much better. Harrison49 (talk) 20:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Units of measure

  • It says "55,000 square feet" and "14 miles". Conversions into metric units would make the article more accessible.
  • It says "Community impact". The word 'impact' could be replaced with 'effect'. I'd prefer 'Effect on the community' but it's a minor issue.

Hope that helps Lightmouse (talk) 15:55, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That would certainly be a useful addition too - thanks. Harrison49 (talk) 16:34, 30 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
