Is there any evidence that the name "Western Pennsylvania Professional Football Circuit", or even the concept it represents ("a loose association ... that operated from 1890 to approximately 1940"), existed in published sources prior to the creation of this article in 2012? Sixteen of the 17 references fail to even mention this "circuit" – let alone how long it existed and what teams were included. The lone reference that does mention it is an incomplete page at RetroSeasons.com – which postdates the WP article by several years and possibly drew from it, and inexplicably includes Orange Athletic Club of New Jersey and Warslow Athletic Club of Long Island as members of the supposed "Western Pennsylvania" loop.
