Disagree OK, there is a proliferation of pages about varieties of German and Germanic dialects, and they are mostly stubs or they overlap with each other a little too much, but I think the underlying structure is justifiable, and the interlinking allows pretty easy navigation. Anyway there's no reason to single out West Central German among all the others, you'd have to overhaul the entire web of articles, starting from German dialects and West Germanic languages etc. CapnPrep 21:07, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree indeed, since this is about a subdivision of dialects. The term "German" in the title is misleading. Klassi 01:25, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bad map

[edit]

The yellow area on the map, File:Westmitteldeutsches Mundartgebiet.PNG, which is purportedly the area for the West Central German family of dialects, is identical to the area for Central Franconian dialects on its map, file:Die Frankiese taalgebied.png. If these concepts are identical, then there's some cleaning up to do. If they aren't, one of the maps needs to be fixed. ~ MD Otley (talk) 01:20, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
