Updates

[edit]

Hello, I'm Jan. As an employee at Northrop Grumman, I am interested in helping the Wikipedia community improve the Wesley G. Bush article, as well as the articles for Northrop Grumman and Kathy Warden. I am familiar with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines and will do my due diligence to ensure that I am following the rules, only posting on designated Talk pages.

I'm here with some ideas to update this article for accuracy. For starters, Bush left his position as CEO effective January 1, 2019, wherein Kathy Warden became CEO. Bush is serving as chairman.

Here are a few updates I've noticed could be made:

  • Change the following sentence in the Executive summary
"He serves as the chairman, chief executive officer and president of Northrop Grumman.", to
"He is chairman of Northrop Grumman, where he previously served as chief executive officer."
  • Update the infobox Employer field to say "Northrop Grumman", and the Title field to say "Chairman (2011–present)"
  • Update the following sentence in the section Early life with simplified text and a source that accurately supports the claim: "Bush attended the National Youth Science Camp.[1]
  • Remove the sentence "As of 2017, he serves as its president, CEO and chairman", as it is outdated as of January 1.

I am posting in hopes that someone will be able to review and possibly copy over these changes, make suggestions, or provide feedback. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions! Thank you! JanAtNorthropGrumman (talk) 20:13, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

More updates to Wesley G. Bush article

[edit]

Hello, it's Jan from Northrop Grumman here to request a few additional updates to the Career section of the article. I have outlined the suggested updates below with sourcing to support each claim.

  • In 2002, Bush was elected corporate vice president and president of Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector.[1]
  • Bush's roles at Northrop Grumman included chief financial officer (2005–2007), chief operating officer (2007–2010), and president (2007–2017).[2][3][4]
  • Bush announced his resignation as CEO in 2018, and was succeeded by Kathy J. Warden, effective January 1, 2019. He will remain chairman of Northrop Grumman through July 2019.[5]

If you have any questions, feedback, or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you! JanAtNorthropGrumman (talk) 23:30, 15 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
