[edit]
  • "The official encyclopedia of football" should be written as "The Official Encyclopedia of Football" in both the text and the reference.
    • Changed.
  • Shouldn't his time with the Detroit Panthers be listed in his infobox and the lead?
    • I question if he really played for them – the encyclopedia seems to be the lone source listing him as playing for the Panthers and I was unable to find anything else to verify it.
  • He was commissioned in 1932 as an ensign.[2] He rose to be commanding officer for his Naval Reserve division before being called to active duty in 1940 to serve in World War II. --> He was commissioned in 1932 as an ensign and rose to be commanding officer for his Naval Reserve division before being called to active duty in 1940 to serve in World War II.
    • Changed.
  • after surviving being damaged by a Japanese kamikaze attack --> after surviving damage from a Japanese kamikaze attack
    • Changed.
  • other positions there. where? HQ?
    • Changed to "at the headquarters".
  • References: all appear appropriate for what is being cited and are consistently formatted
    • In Ref 13, you could link The Herald-Palladium since The Herald-Press merged with them.
      • Linked.
    • Spot checks: #2, #3, #7, #9 and #11 all look good.
