Reddit post
[edit]Hi guys, this article turned up on reddit and the reaction below was posted by a user. Is there something to this criticism?
For a start the wikipedia page has been written first and then had the sources attributed after, the main source being the book Hitler's Jewish Soldiers. Second, he was published in one newspaper (Berliner Tageblatt) which was deliberately kept independent by Geobbels so it had a noted liberal streak. Funnily enough the thread's linked page claims that he was lauded as the perfect soldier shortly after the invasion of Poland commenced, however the paper closed in January 1939. I have been unable to locate him on any recruiting posters and the article cites no sources. I call shenanigans, this was a liberal publication embarrassing the government much like cases where American left wing media have lauded undocumented migrants serving with the US military in the War on Terror.

Sources
[edit]Shouldn't this article list its sources?
Yes, it should! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.176.213.223 (talk) 23:58, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I've found a source which refers to a Walter Goldenberg, but appears to relate to this individual: http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~rar4619/goldberg.html. I assume that Werner is the German variation of Walter? --131.111.247.135 (talk) 23:27, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
No, it's not. See http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Werner_(name) and http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Walther. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.176.183.244 (talk) 20:38, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Goldberg & Goldberg
[edit]The use of just "Goldberg" or "Mr. Goldberg" is confusing in the sections that cover interactions between Werner Goldberg and his father. Don't we know his father's name? --23.119.204.117 (talk) 18:11, 26 July 2016 (UTC)
