Current Usage of Verb to Welsh

It is a little difficult to cite a word or phrase when it is my very contention that it is little used, recognised, or understood today. If the statement is true, then the very absence of citable evidence ought to prove the veracity and accuracy of the statement.

I dissagree with this. Welsh or its older form "welch on a bet" is commonly used in the UK. In fact I think the use of Welsh in this context is rising as it is more recognisable as a known word than welch.
