This article is about the Weller brothers. There is an obscure song that refers to boats owned by their company. That song, and the band that perfoms it, has had some recent mention in the media. That media is of fairly low quality for encyclopia use. It has been used to back a fairly large addition to this article. I have thinned out the entry here but left the references intact for the time being. I did this for various reasons. The addition does not comply with weighting; it looks like clear self-promotion if not advertising; the song would fit better into a section on trivia; the IP that keeps reverting gives no meaningful reason why his/her/their additions should be in this article; and so on... To the IP: can you now please comment here to gain consensus on what to do about this and do not continue reverting. Incidentally, one of the main references used is a blog that should not be used as a citation, but I have left it in place for the time being. Roger 8 Roger (talk) 21:08, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Roger 8 Roger: I understand your point above about keeping this entry focused on the Weller brothers. Because the sea shanty has been discussed in all sorts of media sites (including the large sites you referenced), I do think it needs a mention here. I think what you have done with the Folklore section is appropriate. Thank you for doing that. - Dyork (talk) 01:59, 1 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
